Objects, claims, and relationships
An object keeps its identity while its name, status, and relationships change. Read those changes with their sources and dates.
Do not overwrite the object with its latest description
A real-world object has a stable identity boundary. Names, roles, locations, and states are time-bearing claims linked to that object.
Relationships carry time and evidence
- Who or what asserted the relationship
- The period for which it is claimed to be valid
- When it was observed
- Evidence that supports or contradicts it
- Whether it was corrected or withdrawn
